When, round and full, her silver face, swims into sight, and lights all ”

Ancient mythology is deeply rooted in the Natural World extending to the Cosmos.

According to the Inca people, the precious silver was linked to the Moon goddess “Mama Quilla”,

and therefore, to the nocturnal feminine and its enigmatic world.

She was depicted as a beautiful woman with a silver disc crown, symbolising her

radiant and luminous qualities, she was also believed to cry tears of silver.

As a defender of women, she balanced the masculine force of the Sun and

played a crucial role regulating menstrual cycles.

This sacred metal was also associated with the Sea and its depths,

an interior, humid and fertile world.
